SCN Group, comprised of Ken Willis, David Hornsby and Lin Johnson was looking for another property to develop to the same standards and as an encore to the successfully developed Fripp Island.  

Ken Willis' wife reminded him of how much she enjoyed growing up on Lake Greenwood, and when they visited the area, they knew immediately they had found a special place.

"She had very fond memories of the Lake Greenwood area," said Willis. "She and her family vacationed on the lake. She felt that others would like it as well. It was an On Golden Pond experience."

In 1999 SCN acquired the first tract of land, the 400-acre property that is now Grand Harbor. The property includes more than 2.5 miles of lake frontage and an award-winning golf course, The Patriot.  

The three principals in the SCN Group believe so strongly in Grand Harbor, that each resides in the community. The response to their vision speaks volumes for their commitment and to the strength of the property itself.
